Syd (Radha Mitchell), an editor with a low level at a photo magazine who strives to establish herself, discovers that her neighbor is the once marked photographer Lucy Berliner (Ally Sheedy) in the city center. Although Syd lives with her boyfriend (Gabriel Mann), she is attracted to Lucy, who has a volatile relationship with her friend Greta (Patricia Clarkson) prescribed by Heroin. When Syd sleeps with Lucy, she is drawn into a glamorous but dangerous art scene full of drugs and unexpected joys.
